The Plot
It has been five years since the 'death' of Harvey Dent. Gotham has only become worse in it's state of coruption, and the people living there have seen this happen right before their eyes. Bruce Wayne has put all of his efforts into helping Gotham get back on it's feet, but he hasn't had much help. In the last few months, he has taken custody of a teenaged boy, Dick Grayson, who was orphaned when his parents were killed in a Circus murdering.
Meanwhile, in the darkness of the world, the clown of Gotham has been locked up in Gotham, with numerous escapes and run-ins with Batman, he always ends up back in Gotham. This Thanksgiving, however, he plans to make an escape. An escape out into the world of Gotham, and not only is he breaking out, but numerous of Batman's other villains are breaking out with him. How? Doctor Harleen Quinzel.
Commissioner Gordon's daughter, Barbara has just turned thirteen recently, and without her Uncle's knowledge has been escaping into the night, becoming known in the streets. She has befriended the thugs, and thieves of the city, though not as her normal identity but someone else. Someone different.
Also, Selina Kyle has moved into Gotham, and who knows who she'll meet and start trouble with.

 Arkham: Serious Business.

Dull, drab, grey. Uncreative, unimaginative. Boring, boring, boring.

It was his job to liven things up around here.

Arkham asylum was the stereotypical insane asylum, and no where did it show more than in the maximum security section. The walls were grey and dull, not at all helped by the fact that the lights were low, kept that way all day, everyday, as it appeared to sooth a few of the patient's psychosis. Each cell had at least six feet of stone wall in between them to keep the 'Patients' from talking, and the front of each cell was closed off by two-inch thick bullet proof glass, fogged so that the doctors and numerous guards could see in, but the patients couldn't see out. The cells themselves were as boring as the halls-- A small bed, a table, and a small TV built into the wall. Those were the bare minimums in each cell, but a few of the patients were given other small items if their doctors allowed it.

And yet, despite all these security measures, patients kept getting out. Hell, he would have gotten out long ago, had he not found something to entertain him there.

Guards. Sit up, laugh at them, curse at them. Play the part of the psychopath, yes yes. Had to keep up appearances. Didn't want them to begin to think he was sane, did he?

Stretched out across his bed, Arkham's most famous patient lay, a smile spread across his face as he laughed to himself. He couldn't help but laugh every time he returned from one of his 'Sessions' with his new toy, his doctor-- Harleen Quinzel. The woman was certainly entertaining, and he was having fun peeling her apart.

The Joker was notorious for 'disposing' of his doctors. The most famous psychologists came to Arkham to have a crack at him, and he sent each one away, some into early retirement, and others into the ranks of their various insane patients themselves. But this one, this one was too good to waste. He didn't know why such a young psychologist was his doctor, and he didn't care-- He simply played his part, and watched the girl slowly come to his way of thinking.

Doctors outside of his cell. Which ones? He couldn't tell. Oh well, they all died the same, didn't they. Let them stare at him. He'd just stick his tongue out at them, and smile as he thought of ways to kill them. And he knew so many ways.

And now, Thanksgiving was coming up. The citizens of Gotham would be celebrating a holiday without him, and he couldn't let that happen, now could he? And he had the perfect escape plan-- Not that any of his plans weren't perfect-- with the perfect, willing participant. And while he was getting away to celebrate with Gotham, why not let the rest of the so-called 'Psychopaths' celebrate with him?

Perfect plan. Perfect timing. Perfect assistant. Now all he had to do was wait. The Joker wasn't too terribly patient, but for this, he could be.
